Documenting every new change, lets you have priceless memories. Family portraits should show your family's personality and closeness. Small families with children are taken in studio and seasonally taken at a nature and urban setting. Large families are taken at Wapsi Park in Anamosa, IA. Preparation The idea behind family portraits is to capture a family's unity, that is why choosing the right outfits are key to making a great family picture. Keep clothing simple, avoid white and stay away from any clothing with written logos. Since most family photos are going to be wall portraits, choosing neutral attire may be best, such as, creams and browns or blacks and grays. The style of shirt isn't as important as the color, however I do suggest everyone either wear dress shirts or casual shirts, don't mix and match.A family session may last up to 2 hours, so make sure everyone is fed and well rested and bring snacks.
