Newborn pictures capture what your baby does best right now...sleep.
It is never too early to book a newborn session. Because your baby's birth date is unpredictable, call to reserve a time frame. If you are given an induction or c-section date, the actual session date can be booked in advance. If you are letting baby decide, we will mark your due date and expect a call from you as soon as baby arrives.
It is recommended to get newborn pictures taken within the first 5 days of birth. "Fresh" newborns (2-5 days old) are best because they are less likely to be disturbed while sleeping, they are more "pliable" and less likely to have newborn acne and colic which usually flares up around 2 weeks of age.
Older newborns tend to sleep less and do not curl up as easily.
Each newborn session is different. It’s not uncommon for the session to last three hours, allowing plenty of time for feedings and comforting.
